Purse Snatcher Picks Worst Possible Victim
A purse snatcher in London, England, made a huge mistake when he robbed the justice minister — and then ran into a bus full of police officers.
The dumb criminal, identified as Kenneth Cooper, mugged Bridget Prentice, as she boarded a bus in the south part of the city.
However, little did Cooper know that his target, the justice minister, had an off-duty detective standing behind her.
But the worst was yet to come. As he fled the scene, Cooper ran into a busload of police officers, who, coincidentally, were on an exercise to ensure safer neighborhoods.
They joined the pursuit as Cooper ran into a shopping center in Lewisham, where security guards also gave chase.
Cooper later pleaded guilty to the theft of Prentice’s purse, and got a three-month prison sentence.
